Puppet!

Liight Bulb! (said in the voice of Gru from Despicable me) A few nights ago I was laying in bed half way to sleep, with apparently visions of puppet hands dancing in my head. It started with thoughts about the Bloomingstackers I had worked on that day. Then one hazy, half dream image of puppet hands kept coming up. The hands were controlled with sticks like the Indonesian puppets I grew up around but were sculpted from polymer clay. Luckily I remembered these ideas the next day and decided to give this vision a try. It only took one failed attempt at a hand with a wire armature, the use of power tools, some intense studio scrounging, impromptu engineering and the better part of a day. But when I finished I had created my first puppet! I like him so much I think he might join the permanent collection:)
